Since 1984, 29,000 youth and young adults have answered the call to service at Northwest Youth Corps and Idaho Conservation Corps. Countless alumni credit their experience as a pivotal moment in their lives, where they found direction, built community, and developed the skills needed to overcome challenges—all while contributing millions of hours of conservation service to improve our public lands and communities.
The sweeping changes in federal funding that began in 2025 have left Northwest Youth Corps facing significant, ongoing funding challenges, jeopardizing the vital programs young people have relied on for 42 years.
