Red Crew -This Past Week (8/13 wk 4):Last week Red Crew finished the first part of their two week Alpine Lake Wilderness adventure, working on the Pacific Crest Trail, bucking trees that blocked the path & bringing old trail back to life by redefining and brushing. Also, they are building new puncheons, in order to make the trail passable for horses.
This Upcoming Week (8/23-wk 5): Red Crew is staying in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area.More puncheons will be going in this week & also more trees will be bucked.
Orange Crew – (8/13 wk4) Orange Crew is back in the backcountry, this time nine miles in the Methow! They are working under the gaze of the North Cascades, spires of rock & ice.Pretty gnarly, to be frank. They are working on brushing and clearing out drains.
This Upcoming Week (8/23–wk 5): Next week Orange Crew will stay put, right where they are, and continue to work on the PCT.
Yellow Crew - This Past Week (8/9 wk 3): Yellow Crew is working in the Glacier Peak Wilderness Area, close to Top Lake, brushing and creating drainage. As the days grow shorter and the mornings a little colder Yellow Crew has been staying warm the only way they know how: working three times harder and three times faster than they ever thought possible.
This Upcoming Week (8/23–wk 4): Yellow Crew is staying where they are, digging in and doing more drainage and brushing!Hot dog!
Blue Crew - This Past Week (8/23 wk 4):Blue Crew worked at Lake Janus this week, making more drainage structures and brushing.
This Upcoming Week (8/13 –wk 5):Next week, the final week, Blue Crew is going 12 miles into the backcountry.Yes, 12 miles in.Why, you may ask?To build a structure large and more intricate than any made in the past. They will be in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area.
