Come into any branch during the month of July and you’ll notice little NYC logos displayed. Purchase one cutout for $1 each or 8 for $5 and you’ll be supporting the Northwest Youth Corps.

Northwest Youth Corps is a nonprofit youth development organization created in 1984. It’s comprised of an expeditionary learning high school and two conservation programs for youth. Each program stresses team work and leadership while promoting education, personal growth, and individual achievement.

Based on the philosophy that nature nurtures the potential in us all, every Northwest Youth Corps participant spends time contributing to conservation projects in Oregon, Idaho, Washington, and Northern California. Whether they’re building new trails, restoring natural habitats, or constructing a new public campsite, youth ages 1–19 learn the skills and confidence necessary to face life’s challenges and develop their potential.

Your financial contribution supports all Northwest Youth Corps programs including the OutDoor High School, YouthWorks (ages 11–15), and YouthCorps (14–19).
