Staff and participants of NYC's Youth Corps programs live and work outdoors in some of the most beautiful and rugged natural areas of the Pacific Northwest. Youth Corps crews work throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Northern California.
Crewleader and Assistant Crewleader for American Sign Language Inclusion Crew
As a Crew Leader or Assistant Crew Leader on the ASL Inclusion Crew you will co-lead a teen-age trail crew in one of our many conservation projects scattered across the Northwest. You will grow, learn and laugh along with your crew; build solid muscles and lasting friendships. You will work with Deaf and Hearing youth who have varying levels and knowledge of ASL, as a staff member at NYC you will be a part of creating an inclusive environment that values accessible communication by supporting others in learning ASL and about Deaf culture.
NYC is currently hiring to fill positions in our summer ASL Inclusive programs. We also offer a six week leadership training program beginning in April for young adults interested in gaining the skills necessary to lead an NYC crew. Visit our FAQ! To answer many of the questions you may have!

Northwest Youth Corps is also looking for interpreters to volunteer throughout the summer session. If you are interested in volunteering for interpreting experience please send in two references and your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org
