Laurel Valley Educational Farm

Educating youth through agriculture

About the farm

The Laurel Valley Educational Farm was established in 1999 to augment Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) youth programs and has grown to become an important resource for serving youth and the community. Each year, the farm supplies hundreds of pounds of fresh produce to NYC youth crews and the OutDoor High School Culinary Arts program, and provides excellent experiential education and work experience for hundreds of youth enrolled in NYC programs. In addition, the farm serves the community by operating a weekly produce stand during the growing season.

Ways you can support the farm

  • Weekly Farm Stand: Spring through Fall. Enjoy the bounty of vegetables such as potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, Russian kale, butter lettuce, and more.
  • Fall Harvest Sale: Get your pumpkins, roots, and other fall crops for Thanksgiving and beyond.
  • Harvest Festival and Dinner: Attend our Outdoor High School’s October fundraising event, featuring dishes made from farm-grown produce and prepared by our Culinary Arts students.
  • Volunteer: Everyone’s welcome! Spend some time helping and learning.
  • Donations: Gifts of plants, tools, garden supplies, or cash are welcome.
