Please answer the following questions as specifically and fully as possible. Information provided in response to these questions may be used as the basis for an interview. 7. A field staff position with Northwest Youth Corps requires individuals capable of leading and supervising high school age youth. Please describe any teaching or leadership experience you have had. Describe any formal training you have had working with people.
8. NYC field staff coordinate the daily work activities on a wide variety of manual labor projects. A typical project might involve the use of pulaskies, hazel hoes, shovels, and other digging tools to build a hiking trail. Staff are responsible for teaching youth the safe and efficient use of hand tools and coordinating the completion of each project. Describe your experience and strengths in this area.
9. Part of NYC's mission is to educate participants about the natural environment, current environmental issues and job training. What experience do you have that will help NYC fulfill this function?
10. The NYC program is designed to introduce participants to a variety of outdoor recreation activities. Staff and participants live in tents and camp in remote locations during the entire session. Staff coordinate backpacking trips, and a variety of other outdoor activities. What are your strengths in this area? Describe your outdoor recreation background.

Criminal history, if any, will be reviewed thoroughly. A valid driver's license and driving record acceptable to NYC and NYC's insurance carrier will be required.
